Occupational Hygiene Technician Bridgwater, Somerset

Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Hygiene Technician to work on a in Bridgwater, Somerset on a full time permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with STEM degree who ideally has some experience of industrial and/or construction environments. You will be working alongside an multi-disciplinary occupational health team. The role will involve:

• Working 5 days/week with a mixture of day and evening shifts
• Typical monthly pattern will be 3 weeks of days shifts followed by 1 week of 3.00pm – midnight shifts.
• perform occupational hygiene monitoring and surveys of personnel and site activities for a range of chemical, physical and biological agents
• Participate in occupational hygiene related investigations and studies
• Carry out regular workplace inspections to assess occupational hygiene related aspects
• Assist with the preparation and delivery of training and information materials on hygiene related topics
• Contribute to occupational hygiene performance reports

To apply you will need to be an Occupational Hygiene Technician or a graduate with STEM degree who ideally has some experience of industrial and/or construction. Ideally you will be an affiliate member of the Faculty of Occupational Hygiene (AFOH) and working towards the certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH) – however full training can be provided.

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 + Enhancements + Benefits
