IR35 into the private sector

Barclays Bank has announced it will stop using off-payroll contractors through limited companies

Barclays will be shifting all of its contractors onto the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) system.

The motive behind this move is to circumvent the IR35 regulations which will come in to effect in the private sector in April 2020.

Barclays sent out a letter to its contractors explaining how they did not wish to be liable for employment status and so has decided they will not be extending the contracts of anyone working off-payroll.

The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) is set to publish the criteria required for it to begin an investigation into claims of work-related stress.

The HSE said it was redefining its operational guidance to establish a consistent approach to handling complaints of stress at work.

According to the Labour Force Survey, 595,000 workers suffered from work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2017/18, while 15.4 million working days were lost to these conditions.

The conditions were more prevalent in the education, health and social work and public administration and defence sectors.

Peripatetic Occupational Health Advisor

Location: Leeds Region

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Occupational Health Staffing is looking to recruit a Peripatetic Occupational Health Advisor to work on various client sites across the Leeds region on a Full time permanent basis to work as part of an occupational health team.

The successful candidate will undertake:-

• Sickness absence referrals
• Audiometry, Spirometry and Vision Screening
• DSE and WPA assessments are also part of this role although training can be given is needed

To apply you will be a registered nurse with occupational health experience
