Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Technician on a Full Time Permanent basis in Cramlington, Northumberland. Working on a stand alone basis, alongside an external health care provider the OH technician is responsible for delivering both a health surveillance and sickness absence service.
Training can be provided on sickness absence
Provide information, mostly in electronic format, to aid assessment of care provided, management of absence
In conjunction with the HR Manager and HS&E Coordinator identify health promotion needs and devise and implement a programme to meet the needs identified (including wellbeing medical programmes).
To carry out audiometry, spirometry, vision screening and other health surveillance and biological monitoring as required.
To carry out pre-employment medicals and drug and alcohol testing
Assist with accident treatment and investigation should the need arise.
To conduct DSE, COSHH, manual handling and other workplace assessments as instructed
To provide clinical / administrative assistance for other members of the Occupational Health and HR team as requested
To deliver interactive monthly health and wellbeing campaigns
Hours: 35.5hr working week (9am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am – 3pm Friday)
Candidates with healthcare experience or qualifications will be considered
Science GCSE / A- Levels essential.
Previous experience in a health care setting and in occupational health
Salary: £26,356 – £31,007 + Company pension; with employer contributions up to 9%, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, Sickness benefit; 100% salary for up to 26 weeks depending on length of service, Life insurance
