Occupational Health Staffing are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor on a Part Time Permanent (20 hours) basis in Manchester, Lancashire working as part of an OH team.
This OHA will undertake a full OH remit including case management, fitness for task medicals, health surveillance and supporting Wellbeing services, providing a strong customer focussed service and pro-actively support managers, employees with fitness for work advice and management of health conditions in the workplace.
Deliver case management, health assessment and health surveillance activities and using evidence-based knowledge interpret results in order to provide expert opinion on fitness for work and where necessary identifying recommendations and adjustments taking into account organisational capability, medical standards and relevant legislation.
Provide expert advice; on an individual or group basis such as sickness absence meetings provide impartial, professional and expert occupational health advice and guidance to managers and employees in relation to fitness for work/tasks, sickness absence, workplace and environment risk assessment and availability of OH or 3rd Party support. This may be regarding temporary or permanent restrictions on roles or where employees are no longer capable of undertaking normal duties or responsibilities.
Direct & educate managers in meeting their responsibilities in respect of employee wellbeing through attendance at sub-divisional Health and Safety meetings, sickness absence meetings and at other meetings or opportunities that may arise
Support the growth of a dynamic occupational health service by working with the Head of Occupational Health to increase appropriate utilisation and improvement of the service, through accurate recording of Occupational Health data in the secure OH database which will inform the health risk matrix, support development of proactive resources and improvements of OH services and practices.
To Apply You will be
Registered Nurse with Nursing and Midwifery Council Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health (Ideally on Part 3 of NMC Register)
Salary: £43,900 pro rata
